It is another blogging miracle. Right after I posted my rant about Mother's Day not being Mother's Day, my husband surprised me by giving me the entire Saturday off. The entire day!
He has given me the Saturday off before Mother's Day before but I didn't expect it this year. We had a crazy week and the lawn needed mowed. I didn't think I would get a break. But, boy did I!
My hubby decided to take the kids to the Columbus Zoo, not just Cleveland for the day. He also got up with the kids and got them out the door. I continued to nap with my dog Gracie until I couldn't sleep anymore. I finally got myself going and then I couldn't stop. I shopped the entire day. I just couldn't stop. I met my sister for lunch and then kept going even once she had to meet some friends for dinner.
It is amazing to me what a better mother I was today for Mother's Day because I got a break. I caught my breath and I am ready to continue on this marathon called motherhood. Thanks hubby! I am one lucky mother.
